The EFA decided to end Marco Tardelli's contract today
after losing hope in reaching WC.
After the recent defeat against Libya
in the World Cup 2006 qualifications, the Egyptian Football
Association decided to terminate Marco Tardelli's contract
after realizing that he wasn't the right man for the
job.
The head of the EFA Mr. Essam Abdel Moneim
declared today in a press conference that Tardelli is
officially sacked and Ismail Yousef will be in charge
of the National team till another coach is appointed.
The current temporary EFA will not appoint
the new coach but instead, the new coach will be appointed
by the newly elected EFA.
It should be mentioned that Ismail Yousef
is not expected to lead the national team in any games
in the current period apart from friendlies as the nearest
official fixture for the NT will be in March 2005.
