The Pharaohs managed to hold a full star Cote D'Ivoire side to a 0-0 draw in the friendly that took place in France. Egypt did well inn defense but couldn't create any chances throughout the game.

Egypt faced Cote D'Ivoire in a friendly match. The Pharaohs managed to hold their tough opponents to a goal-less draw.

Cote D'Ivoire played the game withh all their stars, Drogba, Salomon Kalou, Yaya Toure, Didier Zokora, Kieta, Diane and others. On the other side, Egypt lacked the injured Abotreka, Mido and Hossam Ghaly.

The whole match was one way traffic for Cote D'Ivoire who put Egypt under immense pressure. The Egyptian defense and El Hadary did well to keep the danger of the classy Ivorian forwards at bay.

On the other hand, Moteb and Mohamed Zidan were totally isolated at front and the Egyptian midfield was almost non-existent despite doing their defensive duties.

The game took place under a rainy atmosphere which made the job even harder for Zidan who couldn't make use of his dribbling talents because of the pitch conditions.

Due to this, Zizou came off during half time and was replaced by Amr Zaki who can do better in the air but the introduction of Zaki couldn't solve the lack of support from midfield in the absence of a playmaker like Abotreka.
