Egypt faced Burundi in ACN qualifiers. The game ended in a 4-1 win for Egypt as Zidan, Abd Rabo, Abo Treka and Hassan scored the Egyptian goals. The opponents weren't of match to the Pharoahs who dominated the first half completely. On the other side, the 2nd half didn't witness many chances.

The Egyptian national team won against Burundi by four goals to one in an easy match in the ACN qualification phase.

Shehata started with Mido and Zidan at front for the first time while Abotreka played the role of support man. The Pharaohs dominated the game from the start and scored three good goals.

Egypt's first goal came through Zidan who was fouled outside the box, Hassan played the freekick short to Zizou who managed to trick a couple of defenders and sent the ball home with his right to give Egypt the lead.

A few minutes later, Egypt won another freekick which was driven home by Hosni Abd Rabo while the 3rd came through Abo Treka who received the ball after a cross from the right wing and placed it home into the lower corner with his right.

In the 2nd half, Egypt won a penalty kick for a foul on Ahmed Hassan inside the box. The Egyptian NT captain converted the penalty kick to make the score 4-0 for Egypt.

Minutes later, Hassan was brought down in the area but the referee didn't coount the penalty kick for Egypt. On the other side, he whistled for a controversial penalty kick for Burundi as Abo Mossallam collided with a Burundi forward inside the box.

Burundi scored from the spot kick to make the final score 4-1 for Egypt.

The result and display can be described as considerably good bearing in mind the bad mood of players because of losing their teammate Abdel Wahab. It should be noted that Ahmed Hassan played the game wearing Abdel Wahab no. 3 shirt who passed away last Thursday.

In the 2nd half, Egyptian players were content to waste more chances and they relied most on log range shots which weren't accurate enough in most attempts.

The guests took advantage of the Pharaohs' lack of experience and harmony and scored a hgoal from a powerful header by Godin in the 67th minute while the second goal was scored in a comic way by El Saka who buried the ball home in the 77th minute after a low cross from the right wing.

Uruguay totally dominated the game in the final few minutes as the Egyptian team started to fall apart and they almost scored a 3rd goal after a corner from the right wing but the post denied the goal.
