The game between Portugal and Egypt ended in a 2-0 win for Portugal. Both sides couldn't break the deadlock in the first half but Egypt had the best chance when Emad Moteb fired a shot from the edge of the area which was denied by the bar in the 43rd min. The 2nd half was a different story as Portugal was the better side and the Egyptian defense wasn't up to the job as usual.

First Half:

2nd min. Freekick for Egypt after a foul on Tarek El Sayed.

4th min. Shawky brought Figo down, the ref gave a freekick for Portugal.

5th min. Figo advanced with the ball from the right wing but Shwky did well to slide the ball for a throw-in.

6th min. El Nahhas did well to clear a dangerous cross from the left wing aimed to the near post.

7th min. Mido tried to find Emad Moteb with a cross but the goalkeeper was closer to the ball.

9th min. Moteb did well to take the ball past two players but his last pass was cleared by the defense.

10th min. Long ball to Pauleta in the area, Abdel Wahed rushed out quickly and punched the ball clear. However, the referee had to pause gameplay as Pauleta and Wael Gomaa collided together while trying to get to the ball.

13th min. Corner kick for Egypt, it was cleared by defense though.

15th min. El Nahhas gave the ball away in a dangerous area but the cross from Figo was headed clear by the Egyptian defense.

18th min. Figo advanced with the ball and tried to send a through pass but Gomaa made the interception.

19th min. Low cross into Egypt's area but Abd Rabboh sent it for a throw-in.

21st min. Abd Rabboh tried to find Moteb with a cross but the defense cleared the danger.

22nd min. FIRST REAL CHANCE FOR PORTUGAL. A thorugh pass was played to Pauleta who dribbled past Abdel Wahed and tried to bury the ball from narrow angle but he hit the side netting.

25th min. Corner kick for Egypt, Mido went for the header but he coulldn't direct it and the danger was cleared.

29th min. Moteb passed the ball on the floor to Mido in the right side of the area, the Egyptian tried to cut into the middle and shoot with his left but his shot was blocked by defense.

30th min. Fathy crossed the ball to Mido from the right wing, Hossam headed the ball well over but he was in offside position already.

38th min. Abdel Wahed did well to stop a dangerous header aimed at his goal from close range.

41st min. Hosni Abd Rabboh had a dip from long range but it went wide.

42nd min. MOTEB HIT THE BAR! A low pass was made to Moteb at the edge of the box, he turned fast to face the goal and sent a shot with his right at goal but it was denied by the bar!

45th min. Freekick in midfield after a foul on Hosni Abd Rabboh. Ghaly played it long into the area, the keeper tried to get to it but the ball fell fell onto the ground and a defender cleared the situation.

End of the first half.

Second Half:

46th min. Early pressure from Portugal and Fathy had to head the ball behind for a corner.

47th min. Essam El Hadary came on to replace the injured Abdel Wahed El Sayed.

51st min. MEIRA SCORED FOR PORTUGAL! A corner kick was played into the edge of the area to Figo who crossed it low to reach the unmarked Meira who stopped the ball and shot it low through Mido's leg's into the back of the net.

52nd min. MOTEB WASTED A REAL CHANCE! A low pass was made to him in front of goal and he tried to slide the ball home but he couldn't touch the ball.

54th min. POWERFUL SHOT BY GHALY! He fired a shot from the right side of the area but it went just wide.

55th min. Fathy gave the ball away and Portugal started a fast counter attacking move, a through pass was made but El Hadary rushed out quickly and cleared the situation.

56th min. Ghaly sent a chip pass to Mido in the area, the Egyptian forward tried to shoot but his shot was blocked for a corner.

59th min. Portugal's Quaresma cut inside and tried a shot with his left but it went wide.

60th min. El Nahhas and Ghaly out, El Saka and Abo Treka in.

64th min. REAL CHANCE WENT BEGGING FOR PORTUGAL! A low through pass from Morte to Postiga who faced El Haradry and took the ball past him but he sent the ball over in the end.

67th min. Mido, who is playing the role of the left winger for unclear reason, crossed the ball to Moteb in the area but the latter was in offside position.

68th min. TERRIBLE REFERRING! The match referee denied a clear penalty kick for Emad Moteb who took the ball past the keeper but the latter caught his leg.

69th min. POSTIGA MADE IT 2-0 FOR PORTUGAL! Morte passed the ball low to a tammate at the edge of the area who laid it superbly to the onside Postiga who got the ball in the clear behind the Egyptian defense and buried the ball into the far corner.

71st min. Tarek El Sayed out, Amir Azmy in.

73rd min. Freekick for Egypt. Moteb tried a header but it missed the target.

78th min. Fathy tried to shoot from outside the area but his shot lacked power and placement and went into the arms of the goalkeeper.

79th min. Abdel Halim Ali in, Mido out.

82nd min. Terrible marking from Gomaa who fell onto the ground letting Pao Morte get into one on one situation with El Hadary, he managed to sidestep the Egyptian keeper and passed the ball with his backheel to an oncoming teammate but the defense cleared the situation this time.

87th min. Amr Zaki advanced with the ball and tried to cross from the left side of the area but the ball came off his marker and went for a corner.

88th min. Freekick for Egypt after a foul on Zaki. IAt should have been a penalty kick but the referee won't count it.

90th min. Yellow card for Abdel Halim Ali after he fell theatrically inside the box.

90+2 Freekick in a dangerous position for Portugal after a foul by Amr Zaki/ Pao Morte tried to hit the target from narrow angle but he sent the ball over.

Final whistle. Portugal 2-0 Egypt.
