Arab Tournament: Egypt vs UAE

Despite the complete domination from the Egyptian team over gameplay, the original time ended in a 0-0 draw because of the lack of concentration from the Egyptian forwards. However, the Pharaohs won the game after a penalty shoot-out 5-4.

6th min. Nawaf Mobarak sent a shot from outside the area but it went just over the bar.

8th min. Tarek El Sayed crossed from the left wing, the UAE keeper sent the ball behind for a corner though.

22nd min. Tarek El Sayed crossed the ball from the left side of the area after a nice one-two with Emad Moteb, Amr Zaki went for the header but he couldn't keep it down and it sailed over the crossbar.

24th min. El Hadary did well to save a shot from UAE forward Salem Saad.

26th min. Terrific thropugh pass from Abo Treka to Moteb but the UAE keeper rushed out quickly and cleared the ball before the Egyptian striker.

30th min. Amr Zaki hit the bar! A powerful shot by Zaki was denied by the bar and bounced back to play. Hassan Mostafa sent it back to play but the UAE keeper turned it away for a corner.

33rd min. Freekick for UAE. Matar tried to hit the target but El Hadary managed to turn his shot away for a corner.

39th min. Osama Hosny got the ball at the edge of the box, he tried to place it into the far corner but it came off a defender and went for a corner.

41st min. Emad Moteb tried to place a shot from the edge of the box but a defender cleared his shot for a corner. The corner kick was played into the far post where Wael Gomaa tried to hit the target with his left on the volley but his shot went over.

44th min. Tarek El Sayed tried a header but it went way wide.

45th min. End of the first half

48th min. Abo Treka found himself a few yards away from goal, he tried a shot but it was blocked by a defender and went for a corner.

60th min. Poor effort by Tarek El Sayed, a cross was delivered into the left side of the area from the right wing, Tarek El Sayed was there and tried a volley with his left but his shot went well well wide.

64th min. Amr Zaki crossed the ball from the right wing to the substitute Abdel Halim Ali and the latter met the ball with his right on the volley but his shot went just over the bar.

73rd min. The ball was laid to Amr Zaki just outside the box, he tried a shot but his shot went into the clouds.

78th min. Emad Moteb tried to chest the ball home from close range but a defender cleared the ball off the line with his head.

80th min. Emad Moteb tried to head the ball home after a fine cross from the right wing, his header went way over though.

81st min. Terrific defending from Amir Azmy Megahed, he blocked the ball in front of Salem Nawaf while he was a few yards away from goal.

83rd min. A through pass was played to Moteb, however he put it away from him while advancing on the keeper and the latter had the chance to clear it before the Egyptian striker.

End of the original time, the match will go to penalties.
