EGYPT: Nader, Emad El Nahas, Beshir, Gomaa,
Abd Rabboh, Ahmed Fathy, Tarek El Sayed, Shawky, Abo
Treka, Barakat and Abdel Halim Ali.
First half:
1st min. Ahmed Fathy took the ball past
his marker in the right wing but the latter brought
him on the floor. The referee said play on though!!
3rd min. Abo Treka had an effort on goal
from outside the area but his shot went into the arms
of the goalkeeper.
4th GREAT SAVE BY NADER!! He managed to
turn a bullet shot from outside the area to a corner
kick.
5th min. The corner kick was played high
and Ivory Coast's no. 13 headed the ball at goal, it
came off a teammate and went for a goalkick for Egypt.
6th min. Fat counter attack for Ivory
Coast, Beshir had to make a tactical foul to stop the
danger.
7th min. Long ball from Abo Treka to Barakat
in the right wing, he cut into the middle and tried
a shot but it sailed over the bar.
8th min. Barakat tried to steal the ball
from the Ivorian keeper but the latter stole it before
him in the last second.
10th min. Freekick in a dangerous position
for Ivory Coast after he obstructed Dindane.
11th min. Nader did well to turn the freekick
to a corner.
15th min. Ivory Coast started to gain
confidence and control the midfield area but without
danger so far.
16th min. Freekick in a dangerous position
for Ivory Coast. It was headed clear by the Egyptian
defense though.
20th min. Tarek El Sayed tried to find
Abdel Halim was a through pass but it wasn't accurate
enough and went for a goalkick.
22nd min. Nice one-two between Barakat
and Fathy, the latter outpaced his marker and entered
the area from the right side, he then sent a low pass
in front of goal but it was cleared by the defense.
24th min. Abo Treka sent a long ball to
Tarek El Sayed in the area, he tried to take the ball
past his marker in the box but he fell in the box and
the referee said play on.
25th min. Yellow card for Abdel Halim
Ali after a tackle from behind on Drogba.
26th min. Abd Rabboh found himself alone
in the right wing, he tried a cross but the Ivorian
defense knocked the ball behind for a corner.
28th min. Wael Gomaa did well to block
Drogba and to send the ball for a corner.
30th min. REAL CHANCE FOR IVORY COAST!
A chip pass was played to Dindane in the area, Beshir
tried to clear the ball but it fell to Dindane who fired
it just over the bar.
31st min. Yellow card for Ivory Coast's
no. 13 after a harsh foul.
35th min. Fathy laid the ball with his
backheel to Hosny Abd Rabboh and the latter tried a
cross from the right wing but it went for a goalkick.
38th min. Aruna Dindane took the ball
past Beshir and tried tofire a shot with his left but
it sailed over the bar.
39th min. GREAT BLOCK BY EL NAHAS! he
blocked a shot from inside the box in the last minute.
40th min. Dangerous cross from Dindane
into the near post, Gomaa cleared the ball well with
one tough before Drogba.
42nd min. IVORY COAST TOOK THE LEAD! Dindane
received the ball inside the box, Beshir tried to stop
him but the Anderlecht striker took the ball past him
and sent the ball low to Drogba who tapped the ball
in superbly to give the Ivorians the lead.
