First half:

11th min. Shikabala laid the ball to Ahmed Samir Farag in the left wing but he was in offside position.

13th min. Cross from the right wing to Samir Farag but he was caught offside once again.

16th min. Samir Farag and Shikabala tried to find a way through but the Argentinean defense cleared the situation.

21st min. Cardoso tried a shot from way out but his shot was blocked by the Egyptian defense.

25th min. Dangerous low cross from Cardoso into Egypt's area but the Egyptian keeper Hamada Shaaban collected the dangerous ball.

26th min. Superb long through pass from Samir Farag to Shikabala. The keeper rushed out quickly and collected it just before Shikabala though.

29th min. Nice build up from Egypt but it wended with a foul by Hossam Osama.

31st min. Freekick for Egypt after a foul. It came to nothing as the Argentinean keeper punched it clear.

32nd min. Samir Farag sent a long ball to Shikabala behind the defense but the keeper was closer to the ball.

34th min. Danger in Egypt's area, but the Egyptian defense was able to cope.

39th min. Ahmed Samir tried a shot from the edge of the area but the keeper managed to stop it.

40th min. ARGENTINA WASTED A REAL CHANCE! The ball was crossed low from the left side of the area to their no. 20 who sent the ball at goal but it was denied by the crossbar.

42nd min. TERRIBLE MISS BY ABDALLA SAID! Shikabala did well to control the ball outside the area and passed it to the totally unmarked and onside Abdallah Said, the latter hit the ball directly with his left over the bar.

45th min. Low shot by Cardoso at goal but Hamada Shaaban collected it safely.

45+1 ANOTHER CHANCE WENT BEGGING! A through pass was played superbly to Ahmed Samir Farag but the keeper rushed out quickly and blocked him.

End of the first half.

Second half:

47th min. GOAL FOR ARGENTINA! A low pass was made in front of goal to find Messi who had no problems burying it into the roof of the net.

49th min. Freekick in a good position for Argentina, it sailed over the bar though.

51st min. Low shot aimed at Egyptian goal but Hamada Shaaban collected it with ease.

54th min. After some good work from Messi in the left wing, he crossed the ball high into the area but the Egyptian defense headed the ball behind for a corner.

55th min. Ahmed Khalifa in, Ahmed Samir Farag out.

57th min. Argentina's best player Messi stole the ball from Egypt's last man and advanced on the keeper but the latter parried the ball and the defense cleared the danger.

61st min. Superb one-two between Messi and Argentina's no. 20 who got in one on one situation with the Egyptian keeper but the latter managed to turn the ball away for a corner brilliantly.

62nd min. Yellow card for Abdalla Said.

64th min. Dangerous low cross from Argentina's no. 20 Oberman in front of goal but the defense cleared the danger.

66th min. Dangerous low shot from Messi at goal but the Egyptian keeper saved it well.

67th min. Low pass to Hossam Osama behind the defense, he tried a direct low drive but it came off his marker and went for a corner.

68th min. The ball was crossed into the far post from the left wing, Hamada Shaaban came out in the wrong time and the Argentinean striker tried to bury the ball into the empty net but Ahmed Magdi knocked the ball for a corner.

69th min. Shikabala out, Amr El Halawani in.

72nd min. Through pass to Ahmed Abdel Zaher but the keeper came out and collected the ball before him.

74th min, The ball fell on the edge of the area to find Argentina's no. 16 who shot it directly at goal. However, it came off the head of an Egyptian defender and went for a corner.

78th min. Dangerous low shot from Argentina's no.8 but it missed the target by just inches.

82nd min. Yellow card for Ahmed Magdi.

85th min. Ahmed Ghanem Soltan tried one from narrow angle but he missed the target.

90+1 ARGENTINA DOUBLED THEIR LEAD IN STOPPAGE TIME! Their no. 5 sent a through pass to no. 8 Zalayeta who chipped the ball past the oncoming keeper to make it 2-0 for Argentina.
