The Pharaohs achieved a big margin victory over Libya in WC2006 qualifies. The Libya goal in the 51st minute was the turning point in the game as the Pharaohs replied by two successive goals by Mido and Emad Moteb in the 55th and 56th minutes. Super sub Ahmed Hassan and Emad Moteb then added two more in the 77th and 80th minutes to end the game in an impressive 4-1 win.

First half:

2nd min. Abd Raboh tried a volley shot from way out but it sailed over the bar.

3rd min. Superb quick passing from the Pharaohs ended with a pass from Abd Raboh into the area, Emad Moteb went for the header but he couldn't direct it and it went well wide.

8th min. Mido tried a cross from the right wing into the area but it was headed clear by the Libyan defense.

10th min. Freekick just outside the area after a foul on Abo Treka. Mido struck it with his left but it was DENIED BY THE POST!!

30th min. Abd Raboh tried one from 30 yards out, but the Libyan keeper managed to save it.

37th min. Through pass to Nader Kara, he buried the ball home past Abdel Wahed El Sayed but the goal was denied as the Libyan player was in offside position.

41st min. Low pass to Barakat in the area, he had the chance to shoot at goal but he decided to dribble and lost the ball in the end.

45th min. ABO TREKA WASTED A REAL CHANCE! Egypt won a corner kick from the left wing. Barakat crossed it high to find Abo Treka free in the six yards box but the latter headed it way over.

Second half:

46th min. Barakat crossed the ball high to Moteb in the area, the latter tried to shoot the ball on the volley but he couldn't direct it.

51st min. GOAL FOR LIBYA! Wael Gomaa cleared the ball poorly to Osman Fergani who played a decent one two and chipped the ball over Abdel Wahed El Sayed to give Libya the lead!

55th min. MIDO EQUALIZED FOR THE PHARAOHS! abo Treka advanced with the ball and passed it on the floor to Emad Moteb in the right side of the area. The latter laid the ball to Mido in the area and Hossam made no mistake as he buried the ball home with one touch to make it 1-1.

56th min. EMAD MOTEB SCORED THE 2ND FOR EGYPT! Hosny Abd Raboh crossed the ball from the right wing to Moteb in the area and the latter sent it home with his head to give the Egyptians the lead.

58th min. CRASHING DRIVE BY MIDO! Hossam got the ball at the edge of the box and fired a rising shot at goal, the ball beat the keeper but was denied by the bar!

65th min. Ahmed Saad (Libya) shot the ball from outside the area at goal but it missed the target by inches.

71st min. Freekick for Egypt. Mido struck it low from way out but he missed the target.

74th min. Emad Moteb laid the ball to Ahmed Eid who hit the ball directly low at goal but it narrowly missed the target.

77th min. SUPERB SUB AHMED HASSAN MADE IT 3-0 FOR EGYPT! Hassan (who came on to replace Mido) sent a bullet drive from outside the area into the top of the net to make it 3-1 for the Pharaohs. A carbon copy of Hassan's goal for Egypt in South Africa in ACN 1998 final.

80th min. EMAD MOTEB MADE IT 4-1 FOR EGYPT! Ahmed Eid stole the ball from Libya's last man and laid it to Moteb who controlled the ball well and sent it into the top corner with his left to make it 4-1 for the Pharaohs.

87th min. Shawky stole the ball from a Libyan defender and tired a shot from outside the area, but it went way over the bar.

90th min. Final whistle
