In absence of all professionals abroad, Egypt managed
to win their first preparation game on the road to WC.

The Pharaohs prepare to kick off the WC qualification
phase
The Egyptian national team faced its Zimbabwean Olympic
team on Monday night. The international friendly ended
in a 2-0 victory for Egypt as Mohamed Abo Treka and
Osama Hosny (penalty) scored two second half goals for
the Egyptian side.
Egypt capitalized on posession in the first half but
without clear chances. On the other side, the guests
had two dangerous attempts on target.
The 2nd half witnessed the two match goals through
Al-Ahly prolific forwards Abo Treka and Osama Hosny.
The latter scored his goal through a penalty kick after
a foul in the area on Hassan Mostafa.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian team will
kick off the World Cup quals campaign on 6th of June
against with an away game versus Sudan.
