In the coming weeks and months EP will take you through the national team's preparations for the African Cup of Nations 2004, so you can get the best view of the warm ups for all sides. The reports will be on Zimbabwe (with EP's Zimbabwean sports journalist K. Mpofu) as well as on Cameroon, Algeria and Egypt itself.

Here in Zimbabwe not much is happening in terms of preparations so far. As you may be aware, there is a lot of fighting within the Football Association and at present there are two factions who are claiming to be at the helm.

We are waiting for elections which have been ordered by the FIFA and this is when is when there will be some light as to where Zimbabwean soccer is heading to.

So with the other teams getting ready, Zimbabwe are still waiting to settle into their first ever African Cup of Nations. More on EP soon...
