Egyptian Olympic team continued its shaky performances and lost at home against the Nigerian team by two goals to nil. The Egyptian team failed to penetrate the solid defensive concrete of its Nigerian counterpart and even conceded two goals.

Bad start for the young Pharaohs

The Egyptian team failed to rise up to the expectations and started the Olympic games qualifying round with a home defeat at the hands of Nigeria by two goals without reply.

Both goals came in the first half which witnesed a missed penalty from Wael Ryad. The goal scorers were Robert Akoari and Victor.

The Egyptian team had a good start and created many real chances but the forwards weren't up to the job. On the other side, the Nigerians were very effective in front of goal and made use of the poor marking from the Egyptian side.
