Feyenoord's technical director is currently in Cairo.
Some unconfirmed rumors state that he came to discuss
possible transfer terms of Ikrami to the Dutch side.
Mark Wotte, the technical director of
Football at Feyenoord Rotterdam is currently in a visit
to Cairo. Some sources in Egypt claimed that Wotte came
to finalize a transfer deal with Ikrami. However, Feyenoord
clearly stated that the technical director is not in
a visit to sign a player but for promotional activities.
Despite the statement from Feyenoord,
they usually deny their negotiations with players even
if they finalized a transfer deal. So, there is a possibility
that Mark Wotte is in Cairo to present a bid from the
Dutch side for Ahly's keeper Ikrami who impressed during
his short trial period with Feyenoord.
The Dutch side will unlikely bid high
for the Egyptian promising keeper though. They already
reached an agreement with RBC Rosendaal's goalkeeper
Aerts to join them starting from next season. The side
also have the main keeper Babos and so they will be
less interested in getting a 3rd keeper especially when
the asking price is high.
