Egyptian goalkeeper Sherif Ikrami seems very close to
signing for Feyenoord Rotterdam. EP reported this straight
away, but at the time, four days ago, it looked like
a rumour. Now, Al-Ahly Club confirmed that the Dutch
outfit offered for the Egyptian goalkeeper.

Official offer:
The tall goalkeeper of Al-Ahly could be the second Egyptian
at Feyenoord, and Mohamed Zidan is also on their shortlist.
According to Egyptian press, Feyenoord offered $950,000
for Sherif, the equivalent of just over £500,000
sterling. The player is expected to go on trial at the
club at first though.
The Ahly marketing manager El Kaiey said to BBC, "We
have received an official bid for our player from Feyenoord
and we are currently finalising the deal."
Feyenoord are not the only team that had shown interest
in Ikrami. It is quite a fact that all of Ajax, PSV
and Feyenoord showed an interest in the Youth number
1 at one stage or another.
The Rotterdam based club are in a number of European
countries, aiming to rebuild their team. They are searching
for defenders in Denmark and France, and with Ghaly
setting a good example for Egyptians at the club, Ikrami's
transfer is a big possibility.
EP will update you on this in due course...
