Zidan Scores Twice in a Friendly

Mohamed Zidan scored two goals for Dortmund in their friendly match versus regional league side SV Wilhelmshaven. The game ended in a 4-2 win for Dortmund with Zidan scoring the 2nd and 3rd for his side.

The excellent form of Mohamed Zidan continued even in friendly matches as the Egyptian managed to turn his side's 1-2 disadvantage to a win by scoring two goals.

Dortmund faced Wilhelmshaven which play in the regional league in a friendly prior to facing Bayern Leverkusen next weekend in the Bundesliga. Zidan played from the start and was taken off in the 78th minute after scoring two times for his side.

Zizou's teammate Kuba gave Dortmund the early lead in the 5th minute but Wilhelmshaven managed to score two goals in the 9th and 21st minutes respectively to claim the lead.

Zidan managed to level the score for his side in the 24th minute to end the first half in a 2-2 draw.

In the 2nd half, Zidan made the score 3-2 by scoring on the hour mark after receiving a good pass from Kuba.


In the 78th minute, Zidan was rested as he made way for the substitute Kandziora who added the 4th goal six minutes before the final whistle to end the match in a 4-2 win.

It should be noted that Dortmund will face the 3rd team in the table Leverkusen in a tough encounter next weekend. Zidan is expected to start the game alongside Barrios who recovered from a minor injury. On the other side, the other striker Valdez will be out of action for a week and won't be able to play the game.

Dortmund will have to achieve a good result against Leverkusen n order to keep the 4th spot to the table which ensures their European qualification.
