Finally, we can be optimistic about the new season. Mido is back on form and scored, Zaki is guaranteed a starting spot in every match for Wigan and with Zidan's move to Dortmund, we can only expect much more play time for Zizou.

The Egyptian never got enough playing time with former coach Huub Stevens and his compatriot Martin Jol would not give Zidan more chances either.

With Hamburg's interest in signing a new striker, particularly Dortmund's striker Petric, Zidan finally found light at the end of the dark tunnel as he will be re-united again with his favorite coach Jurgen Klopp who is currently at helm in Dortmund.

Klopp revealed that he is happy to sign Zidan. He also revealed his astonishment as the Egyptian forward didn't convince neither Jol nor Stevens with his abilities. Klopp also was happy with the amount of cash that HSV paid n addition to Zidan to sign Petric who scored 13 goals in 29 appearances for Dortmund last season.

Signing for Dortmund means that Zidan will join a very well supported club in Germany. A team who won the Champions League before. A side with great history despite the fact that Dortmund at the time being can only dream of finishing in the top six.

In Dortmund, competition for the striker position will be tough but not as tough as it was in Hamburg. This is mainly because of Jurgen Klopp who knows how to get the best of Mohamed Zidan.

It should be noted that Dortmund's attack contains former teammate of Zidan at Werder Bremen, Nelson Valdez. The Swiss international star Alexander Frei is also another key player in attack.

The deal is expected to be completed today (Sunday) and if everything went according to the plan, it will be no surprise to see Zidan making his debut on Saturday against Bayern Munich, the game that he missed as a Hamburger SV player.
