Mohamed Zidan and HSV played their first
serious preseason friendly tonight as they faced Manchester
City. Zidan started on bench and came on in the 69th
minute. The game ended in a 1-0 win for Hamburg who
scored in the 15th minute through striker Pitroipa who
faced the keeper and scored.

Mohamed Zidan started the match on bench while Martin
Jol decided to start with Pitroipa and Olic. Later in
the 2nd half, both strikers left the field to make way
for Zidan and Guerrero.
The first half ended in a 1-0 lead for Hamburg as a
through pass was made to Pitroipa who took it past his
mark, faced the goalkeeper and scored to give HSV the
lead.
In the 69th minute, Zidan came on and also Guerero.
On the other hand, Van der Vaart, Olic and Guerrero
were replaced. Zidan looked OK but he had no efforts
on goal.
It should be noted that HSV's upcoming friendly will
be against Real Madrid in Emirates cup on the 2nd of
August.
