Mohamed Zidan's HSV faced Karlsruhe in the last day of the Bundesliga this afternoon. HSV guaranteed their qualification to UEFA cup as they won by seven goals without reply. Zidan didn't participate in the game because intestinal infection that he suffered a couple of weeks age.

Mohamed Zidan's HSV managed to qualify to UEFA cup after their impressive 7-0 home win over Karlsruhe on Saturday afternoon. HSV achieved their biggest win this season and played their last Bundesliga match with Huub Stevens at helm.

the Dutch manager will leave HSV to join PSV Eindhoven while his compatrot Martin Jol will be the new manager.

Zidan missed the match for unknown reasons, it may be related to his intestinal infection though but a mere infection won't prevent him from featuring in the last four matches for HSV.


HSV hammered their oppponents with seven goals. The goals came through Guerrero who scored his first hat-trick for Hamburg this season. Olic also scored a couple of goals while Van der Vaart scored one goak from the spot. Trochowski also scored a single goal.

With this win, HSV ended the season in the 4th spot and qualified to UEFA cup while Schalke, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich made it to the Champions League.
