In
his latest interview with the British media, Amr Zaki
told the Observer that he is still wants to stay with
Latics. He also added that if Wiigan still want him,
they should make an official offer for Zamalek as he
is considering options at the time being.
Egyptian striker Amr Zaki is currently
considering options as the transfer window will open
within 24 hours. The 26 year old prefers to return to
the English Premiership which witnessed his ten goals
in the first half of last season.
Zaki have offers from Blackburn and an
unnamed newcomer to the Premier League. However, he
still have good memories about his loan spell at Wigan
and he didn't exclude joining the Latics back from his
cards.
"I really wanted to stay with Latics
and I still do," Zaki told the Observer.
EP reported a few weeks ago that Steve
Bruce who brought Zaki to the JJB is no longer the manager
at Wigan as he joined Sunderland this summer.
Zaki spoke positively on the new manager
Martinez and said he would like to work with him at
the helm:
"I hear Martinez is a very talented coach who is still
young and close to the players' age, which will help him get
the best out of them. But this depends on the Latics board,
who should make an official offer for Zamalek to sign me.
"Without a doubt, Wigan was a great experience for me,
and I enjoyed every second of the time I spent with Latics
in the Premier League."
