Mido Almost Equalized on Hammers Debut

It appears that Mido will have a bigger role with West Ham this season as he managed to make his debut today versus Burnley. Mido was supposed to take some time before he can see action but his hard work in training gave him a few minutes today. The 27 year old did well in the few minutes he played this afternoon as he almost scored in the last minute to clinch the equalzer but he was unlucky with his shot as it hit the post.

Mido back with a bang:

Egyptian striker Mido made his debut today for West Ham United. He replaced Benny McCarthy during half time as the latter suffered an injury in the first half.

Mido didn't let this chance pass without making an impression. He appeared in a very good form as he made vital contribution in the only goal of West Ham. He also almost clinched the equalizer in the last minute from a fine direct shot but he was denied by the post.

Mido had a couple of long range attempts on goal, but both went over. He also linked well with his teammmates as his control under pressure and passing were very good.

According to SkySports, Mido was given a rating of 7. However, the readers gave him the best rating in the game (8.4).

Burnley ended the first half to their advantage as Nugent scored after 14 minutes from the kick off. In the 2nd half, Fox made the score 2-0.


Nine minutes before the final whistle, the ball was chipped to Mido in the box, he tried to bury it home but he was blocked by the keeper, the ball bounced back to Ilan who found the netto make the score 2-1.

In the 90th minute, the ball was crossed into the box who find Mido who hit it directly on the volley at goal. The Egyptian wa extremely unlucky with his effort as the ball bounced off the bar.

The defeat put the Hammers in the relegtion zone as they dropped to the 18th spot.

It should be noted that West Ham will play at home against Birmingham City next Wednesday.
