Egypt's goalkeeper Essam El Hadary made his home debut for FC Sion. The game ended in a defeat for Hadary's side to their guests who are currently 2nd in the table.

Sion took the lead in the game after 13 minutes from the kick off. The goal came through a clever through pass to Saborio who was onside and volleyed the ball home from close range to give Sion the lead.

After the goal, Young Boys tried to come back into the game and El Hadary was tested twice. The first test for Hadary came through a powerful header but the Egyptian was well positioned and hold onto the ball.

Minutes later, Hadary was tested again and did very well to come out of his goal to dive at the feet of Young Boys' forward who was about to bury the ball pat the Egyptian keeper.

Despite the good form of El Hadary, his communication with defenders remained as a problem as he came out of his net to defend a corner kick which was swung high at the near post. El Hadary couldn't collect the ball which reached a Young Boys player who passed it to Kulaksizoglu and the latter sent it gently past El Hadary who didn't anticipate the ball well.

It should be noted that Sion's Vanczak received two yellow cards and had to be sent off in the 41st minute and so, Hadary's side resumed the game with only ten men on the field starting from the 41st minute.

In the 2nd half, gameplay was restricted in midfield area most of the time and Sion relied only on counter attacks and long balls which proved to be dangerous. However, it was obvious that playing with one man down against a stronger club would not help them reclaim their lead so they went for damage limitation.

In the 73rd minute, Young Boys managed to score their 2nd goal through Regazzoni who received a low pass from the left side of the box and tried a direct shot at Hadary, the Egyptian keeper went well to the direction of the ball but it struck the foot of a defender and changed its direction to beat the Egyptian keeper and make the score 2-1.

After this goal, El Hadary was tested with a shot from close range but it went just over. On the other side, Sion replied with a powerful volley shot that was denied by the post.

In the 90th minute of the game, FC Sion's player Brellier received a 2nd yellow card as well and the home side went down to nine men but the score remained unchanged till the final whistle which was blown four minutes after the original time.

It is also worth noting that Swiss TV made a special reportage on Hadary and it will be available for downloading through Egyptianplayers.com tonight...
