Ahmed Ghanem played his first official game for Legia
in the league encounter against Odra Wodzislaw tonight.

yet... (Photo source: Legia official site)
Ghanem entered the pitch in the 67th minute,
replacing forward Marcin Chmiest. New Legia coach, Dariusz
Wdowczyk, made a surprising decision to use Ghanem not
as a right back but as a right midfielder.
The step proved to be very successful in the end. Ghanem
was remarkably active. He made frequent runs on his
wing, often making Odra players foul him. Even though
he lacked communication with his team-mates at times,
there can be no doubt that Ghanem is capable of giving
some contribution into the team's play.
Legia won 2-1. An early goal by Wlodarczyk gave them
the lead, but the team became disorganised later in
the game, especially after Burkina Faso's international
Quattara picked up a foot injury. It resulted in the
equaliser for Odra in 40th minute.
Legia were the dominant team in the second half, but
couldn't find the net until the 90th minute, when Szalachowski's
header secured three points for Legia!
