Ahmed Ghanem

Ahmed Ghanem might return to Europe once more as Standard Liege showed interest in him. The player claimed that he was in talks with the Belgian side who followed him in some of the recent matches and inquired about his availability.

The youngster signed permanently for Zamalek after a brief spell in Europe where he played for Legia Warsaw. Ghanem played a regular since his return to Egypt but it seems that he is still eyeing a move to Europe.

"They (Standard officials) came to Egypt and watched me in action, they were following me for a while and inquired about my availability. They should start official talks with Zamalek in the next few days". Ghanem told Dream TV.

Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram also confirmed the news but the question remains, will Zamalek let Ghanem go?

It should be noted that Standard is one of the top teams in Belgium and they managed to kick Ahmed Hassan;s Anderlecht from Cup semifinal a few weeks ago.
