Egyptian youngster Ahmed Ghanem received an offer from
Polish club Polonia which was rejected, but with his
name still on the transfer list, a move elsewhere in
Europe is looking likely.
Ahmed Ghanem's name has constantly been
mentioned in the context of personal changes at Legia
during the winter break. Some players were put on the
transfer list after the club's manager decided he doesn't
need them any more. Legia, however, want to earn money
on their departure and rejects low bids from other clubs.
This is the reason behind the players' frustration.
They are in danger of having to play for Legia reserves
in the Polish 3rd division. A recent Polish article
on the issue says they feel like prisoners.
Ghanem, according to sources that have reached EgyptianPlayers.com,
is also determined to leave Legia. Initially he had
an offer from Legia's local rivals, Polonia. The latter
is in huge financial debts though and any transfers
to the club are highly unlikely. Ghanem's manager claims
he's close to finding him a team in Denmark or in the
German Bundesliga Two, but none of these rumours have
been confirmed yet.

Most Legia fans put two names from Wdowczyk's 'black list'
under a question mark and think they should be given yet another
chance. It's Tomasz Jarzebowski, who was playing for Legia
for ages, an immensely talented guy but suffering from permanent
injury problems - and Ahmed Ghanem. His defensive shortcomings
could not pass by unnoticed, but his effective attacking moves
and offensive football won him sympathy among Legia fans.
Wdowczyk never openly criticised Ghanem; he says he had to
put him on the transfer list because Legia now have four quality
players playing on the right wing after transfers made in
the winter break, and Ghanem would find it difficult to be
given any playing time, so he doesn't want to stop his career.
