Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly decided
to reject Derby's permanent offer. The Egyptian wants
to play at the higher level of Premiership and Championship
level is just too low for his abilities.
Ghaly spent the 2nd half of season at
Derby as he arrived from Spurs on loan basis. He impressed
everyone at the Rams who offered him a permanent stay.
Paul Jewel revealed that he decided to
look elsewhere are Ghaly wants to stay in the Premiership:
Hossam had a really good spell for us,
and when I spoke to him he said he would like to stay
in the Premier League.
"But if he couldn't find anything in the Premier
League, he would come to Derby. He added.
"But Hossam has played his last game for us now, I think,
and we will be looking elsewhere."
It is not known yet if Ghaly has interest from Premiership
clubs or not, but within a couple of week, the transfer window
will open again and things will be more clear by then.
It should be noted that Ghaly was called up to Egypt's squad
which will participate in June in World Cup qualification
games.
