It has been revealed that Hossam Ghaly's saga will go right to the board, as Erwin Koeman is reported to have scheduled talks with the club's board this week.

It is said that the Egyptian midfielder spoke with the manager last week, and that Koeman concluded that each of them has a completely different opinion on the way in which he should play.

Koeman then announced to the press that he cannot accept this, and that it is poor when compared with the rest of the group that: "Follow orders and do their work for the team."

The Dutchman added that he doubts there being a future, although for now he still does not want to give up on Hossam.

Yesterday morning the Telegraaf newspaper in the Netherlands published news that Ghaly can now leave Feyenoord. However, this has yet to be confirmed.

EgyptianPlayers.com were quick to speak to Dutch football expert Ronald van Wijk, owner of the largest football network in the country (Netwerk.to). "Both Gullit and Koeman had big problems with Ghaly and couldn't change him."

"Both (Gullit and Koeman) think that Ghaly is a super talent, but they can't reach him," continued van Wijk.

"I think he is finished for the Netherlands," he concluded.

Even though Gullit had some troubles with the Egyptian, he still claimed that Ghaly could be the best defender in Europe. Then when the legend retired, Ghaly spoke his heart to EgyptianPlayers.com, saying, " I was frustrated and it took me some time to sink the news in. I was particularly sad to hear him leave after finally tuning to the same wavelength of the coach. We understood each other and he began to treat me as I hoped he will; I mean he started to talk with me regularly and provide me with guidance. As everybody knows my first year under his command wasn’t the best of years between a player and a coach but things improved and we had a fantastic base to work on. I will truly miss him."

Let's never forget that each story has two sides, and that the issue may be hyped up, if not by the Dutch press then by the manager himself.
