Farag Plays Second Friendly

Ahmed Samir Farag participated in Sochaux' 2nd friendly match against the Swiss side Bale.




It will not be a surprise to see Ahmed Samir Farag in the main selection of Sochaux next season. The Egyptian got promoted to the main squad and participated in the two friendlies that the club played so far.

The game ended in a 2-4 loss for Samir's team. The opponents shocked Sochaux by a goal in the first minute of the match while they added the 2nd in the 34th minute.

In the 2nd half, Bale scored the 3rd in the 54th minute but Sochaux' Kader replied with a goal a minute later.

In the 64th minute, Bale added their 4th goal. However, Sochaux managed to pull one back in the final minute of the game.


Farag didn't start the match but he came on in the 72nd minute to assist in attack.

FC Sochaux: Richert then Martinovic (61st) - Josse then Séne (69e), Afolabi, Potillon, N'Daw - Pitau then Rey (46e), Boudarène then Lonfat (69e), Brunel then Trapasso (61e), Ménez then Farag (72nd) - Kader, Ilan.

FC Bâle: Zuberbühler then Meili (46th) - Dzombic, Müller, Quennoz then Kuzmanovic (46e), Smiljanic then Petric (69e), Fool - Chiperfield, Degen, Delgado then Ergic (46e), Kuksizoglu - Rossi, Gimenez then Sterjovski (46e).
