A move to Liege could be best compensation for Meteb
Egypt and Ahly's striker Emad Meteb could be on his
way to join the Belgian league champions Standard Liege
this summer if both clubs reached an agreement in the
coming days.
Reports revealed that Standard are keen
on Meteb and made a bid. Al-Ahly decided to negotiate
the deal. Should they accept the offer, Meteb will finally
move to Europe and will be able to play for strong side
who managed to qualify to the Champions League.
It should be noted that Meteb was on verge
of joining Bristol City but the deal fell through after
his participation in the African Champions League clash
between Ahly and Zamalek.

It is also worth noting that Meteb has only one year
remaining in his contract with Al-Ahly and so, he will
be able to go on a free transfer in January unless he
signs a new contract with the Cairo giants, Al-Ahly.
