this season. Ekramy conceded three goals as Willem II
scored three times in the first half while Feyenoord
clawed a goal back in the 2nd half. The first two goals
came due to mistakes from Ekramy while the 3rd came
from a one on one siatuatiion with the Egyptian keeper.
In the 2nd half, Ekramy made a good save but still he
looked lacking match practice thanks to Van Marwick
who never gave the Egyptian a chance this season.

Egyptian goalie Sherif Ekramy finally started for Feyenoord.
It was the first start for the Egyptian keeper this
season but things didn't go well for Sherif on his season
debut.
Sherif made a good save to turn a low
shot behind for a corner in the opening minutes. However,
he made a fatal mistake which led to the first goal
for Willem II.
Sherif rushed out to collect the ball
which was crossed into the box, however, he collided
with a Willem II player and fell onto the ground and
the ball dropped off his hands to find Demouge who put
the ball home into the empty net with his left foot.
In the 17th minute, Demouge managed to
score again in Sherif's net. This time the ball came
after a freekick for Willem II which was delivered high
in front of goal, Sherif came out again in a hope he
can punch the ball before Demouge but the latter beat
him to the ball and headed it home to make the score
2-0.
The 3rd goal for Willem II came in the
36th minute from a counter attacking move, the ball
was played high behind Feyenoord's defense to find Boutahar
onside, the latter advanced on Sherif and sent the ball
into the bottom corner to make the score 3-0.
Ekramy's performance in the first half
reflected the Egyptian's lack of match practice as he
spent the entire season watching action from the bench
and his coach Van Marwick never gave him a chance to
play. Sherif's mistakes were not due to his lack of
goalkeeping skills, but they were due to his severe
lack of match practice.
