In an interview with ESC, Sherif Ekramy said that he rejected the move to Belgians Dender as he wants to stay in Holland, where he has already made a name for himself.

"In the winter window, I got several clubs but all of them were either offers to take me permanently, and Feyenoord don't want to sell me. Or they were not suitable and of course I preferred to stay at Feyenoord," said Ekramy.

"I'm at a big club in Holland and don't want to go to a below average Belgian club. I want to continue in Holland," he added, with reference to the offer from Dender.

"Everyone knows me in Holland and I've made a name for myself, so I want to carry on here.
