Henk Timmer, the veteran keeper, signed
a new contract at Feyenoord, meaning that Sherif Ekramy
could be on his way out.
Feyenoord had previously said they would allow the Egyptian
to leave should Timmer sign on, and he has.
The experienced shot-stopper signed a one-year extension
to his contract, with the option of a further year should
Feyenoord wish.
Meanwhile, the goalkeeper who came on trial at the club
did not succeed and has returned to Brazil.
It is thought that Feyenoord still do not want to sell their
young Egyptian, but would rather loan him out for the coming
season. He is part of their long-term plans, but for the time
being, Timmer is number one.
