Feyenoord's general director has responded to Sherif
Ekramy's recent views about leaving the club by indicating
that they need him. He did, however, add that the situation
will change should Henk Timmer be the number one.

Sherif had exclusively revealed to EgyptianPlayers.com
that he would look to leave Feyenoord should he not
be the first keeper this coming season. He also added
that this would be released in Dutch magazine Voetbal
International.
Today's magazine did mention this. Ton Poldner, the
player's agent, remarked that the Feyenoord technical
director, Peter Bosz, had earlier promised to cooperate
with a move for Ekramy should the Egyptian lose the
battle with Timmer.
That promise was a serious step forward for Ekramy,
as last year, the club twice refused a move for him.
Poldner added that Peter Bosz was recently reminded
of this promise and did indeed re-confirm it.
However, general directeor Peter Vogelzang responded
to this news by claiming that he asked Peter Bosz whether
this was true. Bosz claims he had never promised such
a thing.
Vogelzang commented: "We need Ekramy.
"But if he doesn't become first keeper there will
be a new situation, and then we have to talk about it
again," he added.
Meanwhile, Ekramy's agent continued: "As soon
as we know he has lost the battle, I will call Bosz.
