After losing many of their key players, Feyenoord
looked out of shape this season. They lost by five goals
to one against Heerenveen in the last weekend in the
game that witnessed the introduction of Ekramy in the
37th minute to replace the injured Timmer and to concede
four goals. Following the defeat, the team coach Erwin
Koeman decided to resign from his position and Ekrami
will work with a new manager.

Sherif Ekramy's coach at Feyenoord Erwin
Koeman decided to resign from his position as manager.
The Dutch coach took this decision after seeing his
side failing to book a Champions League play off position
at the end of the regular league matches.
Feyenoord faced FC Heerenveen last weekend
and lost heavily by five goals to one. The defeat meant
that Feyenoord can only compete for a spot in the UEFA
cup as they finished 7th in the table.
Now, the league is over and play offs
will start, but Koeman will not be there to lead the
Rotterdammers in play offs. Koeman said on the official
website:

Erwin Koeman
"Im not motivated one hundred
per cent to lead this team into the playoffs. And they
are very important for the club. The defeat to Heerenveen
was the last straw. I have given everything I have,
but it has to stop somewhere. Thats why Im
leaving now.

The game versus Heerenveen saw Ekramy conceding four goals
after he came on to replace the injured main keeper Henk Timmer
in the 37th minute.
While Ekramy wasn't at fault in all the four
goals, the day wasn't clearly his day as the Brazilian forward
Afonso Alves was on fire and scored four goals in the game.
Now, Feyenoord will be lead by a new manager
which is yet to be named. The Rotterdammers will face FC Groningen
in fight for an UEFA cup spot.
The question that matters for Egyptians is:
Will Ekramy get a better chance to participate in games for
Feyenoord after Koeman's departure. A clear answer is not
possible yet but hopefully, the Egyptian will gain more playing
time in games than before.
