Sherif started Feyenoord for the 2nd time in a row in Wednesday's big away clash between the title winners PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.

In the first half of the game, Sherif wasn't tested much thanks to Feyenoord's defense who didn't let PSV play their own game and so, the chances against the Egyptian goalkeeper were few.

The first test for Ekramy in the first half came through a powerful left footed strike from the edge of the area, the ball went centimeters over the bar though.

PSV's striker Venegoor of Hesselink had a chance to put PSV in the lead a few minutes later when the ball was laid to him inside the box, he was a few yards away from Ekramy but he couldn't control the ball and lost his balance to let Ekramy collect the dangerous ball safely.

In the 2nd half, particularly in the 51st minute, Feyenoord managed to take the lead through a great goal by Romeo Castelen who made a great run to beat PSV's defense and blasted a powerful shot with his right into the far corner to make the score 0-1 for the Rotterdammers.

After the goal, Feyenoord continued to impress and their forwards Kalou and Castelen made nightmares to the PSV defense. Kalou almost doubled the lead for Feyenoord when he got the ball behind the defense and had the chance to pass to the better positioned Castelen. However, The Ivorian decided to go on goal by himself and the defense blocked his shot.

In the 71st minute, PSV managed to level the score through the experienced player Cocu. The goal came through a cross from the left wing into the area, Alex went high and powered a header at goal, Ekramy did great to stop the powerful header but the ball fell to the onside Cocu who was able to finish with his head to make the score 1-1.

After PSV's goal, Ekramy made another good and confident save for a powerful low shot from outside the area. The Egyptian was also confident in his catches and managed to collect the ball in the air confidently in more than one occasion.
