Egyptian striker Ahmed Salah Hosny may well be the
latest addition to the Egyptian professionals in Turkey.
It is reported that the former Stuttgart and Gent forward
will be joining Rizespor, at which Egyptian defender
Beshir El Tabei already plays.
Egyptian paper Al-Gomhuria stated today that the striker
will be traveling in order to join the team before the
transfer window closes on Tuesday night. It is reported
that he will be joining on a two year deal, in which
he will get $150,000 per season.
Ahmed Salah Hosny had spells at Stuttgart in Germany
and Gent in Belgium, before joining Al-Ahly. He then
spent part of last season playing in Jordan, and seems
to have felt the need to return to European football.
Rizespor's chairman recently announced that the club
will be buying a foreign striker, and that he had a
list of fifteen possible targets. It is likely that
Hosny was among those targets and that he is being called
to finalise the deal before the close of the current
transfer window.
Rizespor have had a decent start to the season, gaining
5 points from the first four matches, and are in 9th
place in the Turkish Superlig table.
More on this potential deal soon...
