Caykur Rizespor book a decent win

After only getting two points from the first three games, Rize won their first game of the season in the Black Sea derby against Samsunspor.

Despite playing good football in the first three games, Rize was not able to win. But against Samsunspor, El Tabei’s team displayed good football and got three points.

First half:

2nd minute: Gurol escapes on the right and goes into the penalty box and finds Murat S?zkesen with a low pass. Murat S?zkesen takes the opportunity and gives Rizespor an early lead; 1 – 0.

17th minute: Rize’s Fahri captured the ball from Adnan and tries a shot at goal from a great distance. Samsun Keeper Shorunmu controls the ball in two attempts.

31st minute: Murat S?zkesen shoots after a pass from Serkan. The ball hits his teammate Cem Baki and finds the net; 2 – 0.

41st minute: EL TABEI SAVES A GOAL! Kirita Stelian of Samsunspor finds his teammate Kaies with a fine through pass. One on one with Rize’s goalkeeper Zdravkov, Kaies hits the ball past the keeper but Beshir El Tabei clears the ball on the line.

Second half:

52nd minute: Murat S?zkesen is one on one with Shorunmu and tries to get past the Samsun keeper but fails.

55th minute: A Samsunspor attack puts forward Cenk in front of the Rize goalkeeper. Cenk shoots, but his shot goes wide.

64th minute: Murat S?zkesen tries a shot at goal after a pass from Ersin but his attempt goes wide.

75th minute: Samsun’s Celil passes the ball into the penalty box. Ivanov shoots the ball over the goal.

Beshir El Tabei played the full 90 minutes.

Besides a derby, the game was also a confrontation between two former teammates; the coaches of the two teams, Riza Calimbay of Rizespor and Ertugrul Saglam of Samsunspor, who played together at Besiktas and won the championship in 1995.

Riza Calimbay was delighted after the game and complimented his players. He was happy to finally win with good football and is hoping that his team can hold this form in the forthcoming games.
