Beshir Refutes Rigging Allegations

Date: 9-5-2006
Wrote: EP's reporter in Turkey Ali Avci

Egyptian defender of Rize, Beshir El Tabei, defended himself after the reaction he got from the media. Beshir was shown in the match highlights as being disappointed after his side's goal, as EgyptianPlayers.com had reported.

Beshir puts hands on head after his team scored!

Beshir said that the media is making an empty speculation as the press are questioning why he made this unwanted quick reaction after his side scored.

Beshir responded: "The camera pictures are not true. They are not reflecting the truth. There are camera tricks!

"I fought for the whole of the match if you can see it all.

"I saw the goal and put my hands at my head to say "elhamdoulillah" and kissed my hands.

"I don't accept the speculation as they showed that I am taking part in match rigging."

Beshir also added: "If you see the Rize goal, you can think that the Denizli keeper Souleymanou took money, not me. I am surprised how we scored that easy goal
which only kids can concede, and I think my action seemed different in the cameras."
