This week Bashir's Rizespor played against Gaziantepspor. Again it was an impressive performance, and a point in the bag after a 1-1 draw.

A few weeks ago Rizespor's new manager Sakip Ozberk had said, "We want to catch a winning streak.

And so last week Rize beat Malatya in their land. That was the first step in the winning streak. But Rizespor couldn't defeat Gaziantepspor this weekend, but they at least weren't beaten. So at least they've now started an unbeaten streak.

Before the match the Gaziantepspor board announced that all revenue from the game will be sent to aid the earthquake in Pakistan, but despite this message, fans didn't turn up in numbers for the encounter.

The Egyptian defender Beshir El Tabei played the full 90 minutes. He was impressive both in the attacks and in his usual defensive job. The Pharaoh had a more attacking role than usual and even suffered a foul inside the box which gave Rizespor a penalty, Okan Ozturk scoring it.

Murat Hikmet Salar, the half-Egyptian, made his return to Turkish Super League football, as he came on in the final 16 minutes.

Match Highlights:

5.min: lazarov crossed from a free-kick towards the centre of the box. Bekir climbed above Rizespor's defence and headed but Zdravkov got the ball easily.

6.min: Fahri met the ball after Beshir El Tabei's delightful pass into the box. He shot strongly but goalkeeper Hasagic controlled the ball.

16.min: Hakan crossed from the right flank towards Erdal Gunes after a great team move. Erdal shot powerfully from 25 metres, but Zdravkov gathered the ball.

30.min: Erdal crossed from the right-hand side. Ilhan met the ball and shot but missed the target.

52.min: Cem Baki was one on one with the goalkeeper after Fahri's superb pass. He shot strongly but while panicking. Goalkeeper Hasagic managed to save.

65.min: Erman tripped Beshir inside box after a decent run in by the Egyptian. The referee decided to point to the spot. Okan Ozturk took the penalty and scored for Rizespor. 0-1.

85.min: Gaziantepspor came forward with a well-worked and organised move. Captain Erdal sent the ball towards the box and Ekram Dag struck it hard. The goalkeeper couldn't do anything about it and it was 1-1.
