EP can confirm that Rizespor centre back Beshir El
Tabei is currently the main target of Besiktas who sent
their scout Zeki Onatli to watch the player in yesterday's
game.
The current coach of Besiktas Riza Calimbay
was the former coach for Beshir at Rizespor and he is
a keen admirer of the Egyptian defender abilities. Calimbay
wanted to sign the player in January but Besiktas had
many foreign players in the squad. So, the transfer
deal fell through.
However, it seems that Besiktas interest
in the solid defender is continuing as Calimbay decided
to send his scout Zeki Onatli to Egypt in order to follow
Beshir from the stands. Onatli will also watch other
talents from the Egyptian national team and bring a
detailed report to his head coach.

Beshir himself is aware of the interest from the leading Turkish
side as he revealed that scouts from big named Turkish club
are currently keeping an eye on him and came to Egypt in order
to have a closer look on his performance.
It should be mentioned that Beshir's Rizespor
are currently 5th in the table and they dream of European
qualification next season. A goal they couldn't reach in the
past ten years but it appears to be possible in the current
season.
