After the departure of their manager Riza Calimbay
to Besiktas, Beshir and Hosny's Rizespor continued to
stutter and lost heavily at home to Galatasaray.
This weekend witnessed a heavy home defeat
for Beshir El Tabei and Ahmed Salah Hosny's Rizespor
at the hands of Galatasaray who won 0-3 at Rize's home
turf.
Both Egyptians were selected among the
Rize squad for the match. However, Beshir was the only
Egyptian in the starting eleven while Hosny didn't see
any action and remained on bench.
Beshir and his teammates in defense managed
to keep the score 0-0 in the first half despite the
pressure from Galatasaray. However, the team collapsed
totally in the second half and Gala managed to score
three times to win the game and keep the 2nd spot in
the table after Fenerbahce.
After a goal-less first half, Beshir's
teammate in defense Cem Baki put the ball into his own
net to give Galatasaray the lead. This goal was the
turning point in the game as Rize failed to pull level
and conceded two more goals in the 82nd and 85th minutes
through the veteran striker Hakan Sukur.
Despite this defeat, Rizespor remained
5th in the table. However, it appears that the departure
of their coach Riza Calimbay will have bad effects on
the form of the team.
