Amir Amzy has
admitted receiving an offer from the Premiership, which
he has decided to decline. It is thought that the offer
came from English club Reading, but the defender has chosen
to stay in Greece.
Amir Azmy Megahed has decided to stay
with PAOK Salonika. He feels that it is his home, but
does not deny a desire to play in England later in his
career.
"I am very attached to this team," said the
former Zamalek star.
"Even though my dream is to contend in the English
Premier League, I am devoted to my PAOK fans and love
it here in Greece," he added.
Amir Azmy played in the 3-0 win over Ionikos and the
1-0 loss to Skoda Xanthi. Skoda Xanthi came 4th last
year but have had a rough start this year. They have
been rising in the league table in the last couple of
weeks, and collected their fourth consecutive win, putting
a halt to PAOK's six-week undefeated streak.
