Egyptian centre
back Amir Azmy Megahed was sent off in PAOK's away clash
with Xanthi Skoda in the Greek League. The match ended
in a 1-0 victory for the home side who scored in the last
minute of the game.
Since the departure of PAOK's manager
Dimitrescu and the recovery of Amir from injury, the
Egyptian defender Amir was a regular in all PAOK matches.
Amir helped his side to become 4th in the Greek league
table and led them to their 4th victory in a row last
week.
This weekend, PAOK suffered their first
defeat in over a month, the loss came at the hands of
Xanthi Skoda who won the game in the last minute by
a goal which came through Torosidis.
Amir played the game from the start and
was in good form. However, he received a yellow card
in the first half and a second yellow after a foul in
the 71st minute which resulted in his dismissal from
the game.
With ten men on the field, PAOK would end the game in a 0-0
draw, but a dramatic goal in the last minute granted the homeside
the three points.
Because of this 2nd yellow card, Amir will serve
a one match ban which will prevent him from featuring in next
weekend's match versus Ahmed Magdi's Panionios.
