Shikabala has not trained with PAOK for a number of months, and though Al-Ahly and Zamalek are both chasing him, PAOK are waiting for FIFA to resolve the problem between them and the Egyptian.

Zamalek had claimed loaning the player, though the Greek club have denied this completely.

Now they are taking heavy action against the forward. He will not be given his salary for months and has been requested to return to Greece.

"PAOK FC announce that they imposed a new two-month contract interruption sentence to Fadlalla Shikabala Mahmoud, due to his long absence without leave from the club's obligations," said a club statement.

"In addition, PAOK FC will ask from the Egyptian Football Federation, as well as from the Egyptian Government, that the player should return to Greece and incorporate himself in the team," it added.

The club and player have an ongoing dispute which has reached FIFA, and the player's agent has also reported him to the FIFA following even further problems.
