The good form of Shikabala/Amir and Ahmed Magdi in Greece paved the way for more Egyptian players

El Halawany joined the Greek club Apolon Kalamaria on trial basis for five days and the club officials were impressed by the Egyptian youngster and offered him a deal.

It is worth noting that El Halawany played a friendly match for Apolon during his trial period and stayed on pitch for 82 minutes. The game ended in a 2-1 win for his side and he was in a good form during the game.

With Halawany joining Apolon, he will be the 4th Egyptian player in Greece as Shikabala, Amir Azmy and Ahmed Magdy are currently playing in the Greek league. However, Shikabala will not likely stay with PAOK as reports suggested that he might be on his way to AZ if he can solve his problems with military service.
