Greek
press reported that PAOK chairman accepted an offer from
Dutch side AZ to sign Shikabala for a fee around 1 million
EUROs. However, the player's problems with military service
might hinder the transfer.
Egyptian talented forward/left winger
Shikabala is still a target for AZ and PAOK chairman
accepted the offer from the Dutch club. That was what
the Greek press reported in the past few days.
However, even if PAOK agreed to let the
player go, Shikabala will not be able to leave the country
while he is in military service. Egyptian midfielder
Hosni Abd Rabo faced the same problems before signing
for Strasbourg last year but he managed to find a way
to leave the country after solving the military service
issues.
The player's teammate at PAOK Amir Azmy
declared that the Olympic Team assistant coach Magdi
Tolba (who is a previous PAOK players as well) tries
his best to find a solution for the player to move to
Holland.
It should be noted that Egyptian side Al-Ahly offered 600.000
EUROs to land the player but it seems that the deal fell through.
