After
a series of good results, PAOK losr unexpectedly to the
close to relegation OFI Crete by two goals to one. However,
they remained 5th in the table thanks to the better goals
difference than their rivals Xanthi Skoda.
Amir and Shikabala's PAOK played away
this weekend versus OFI in Crete. The game ended in
a 2-1 defeat for the Egyptians' side but none of them
was able to feature due to injuries.
In the 42nd minute, Nuafor scored the
first goal for OFI from a powerful header. In the 2nd
half, particularly on the hour mark, Davindson added
the 2nd when he dribbled past two PAOK defenders and
smashed the ball home from inside the box.
PAOK's only goal came in the 75th minute.
The goal came after a fine through pass from Vangelis
to Mieciel who laid the ball to Yiasoumi and the latter
scored to make the result 2-1.
Despite the loss, PAOK remained in the 5th position in
the table but only with goal difference as Xanthi Skoda who
are currently 6th, scored fewer goals so far.
It should be mentioned that the Greek league
will end next week and PAOK still have a good chance to remain
5th and qualify to Europe as their last match will be at home.
