In an interview with ExtraSport the Egyptian
footballer, who is getting better and better, said:
"I may not have been in Salonica for a long time,
but the fans are in my soul.
PAOK is a piece of my life and its fans are too."
He adds, about the last game, in which he assisted twice:
"When we scored the first goal I ran towards the
flag to show my gratitude to them. They love me and
I want a chance to give something back. Then they stood
up and applauded me. There is no greater reward for
a team and a football player, than the recognition of
the fans."
There is a chant from the fans that goes like this:
Teach Rivaldo bala (Greek for ball)! Shikabala! Shikabala!

The Egyptian's response: "I like that they put me
in his (Rivaldo's) class but I think it is extreme. I am the
one that learns ball from Rivaldo. He is a world class footballer
and his name is related to great success. Rivaldo is a great
player and has been valuable for many years now."
Shikabala also spoke about his partnership with the top scorer
of the Greek league, Salpiggidis. "He is always in the
right position to score, and I enjoy giving him the final
assist. I want to believe that at the end he will be the top
scorer of the championship. But it's more important that the
team scores and it doesnt matter who it will be."
