Both Egyptian players at PAOK Amir Azmy and Shikabala couldn't prevent their side from losing in the season opener against Xanthi Skoda in the game that took place in Xanthi on the 27th of August.

PAOK players traveled to play away against Xanthi Skoda in the first day of the Greek new season. Both Amir and Shikabala were in the starting line-up but they couldn't prevent their side from losing by a single goal.

The only goal of the game came in the 37th minute when Paraskevas Antzas headed the ball from close range at goal, PAOK keeper managed to parry but he couldn't hold onto the ball and it fell again to Antzas who buried it home.

Amir Azmy played the full match and received a yellow card in the 41st minute because of a Dangerous play. The other Egyptian Shikabala started the game but he was replaced in the 53rd minute.
