It was just a friendly, but 15,000 fans, mainly supporting
the home team PAOK created a wonderful atmosphere in
the Toumba Stadium during the PAOK-Iraklis game.

During that 90 minutes, Amir Azmy scored
an excellent goal firing a 35 metres long shot, beating
Iraklis goalkeeper Abaris. This was after winning a
foul on the left flank that seemed a nice chance for
a cross, but Megahed had a different option full of
imagination.
Iraklis levelled the score 3 minutes later, with new
signing Sakis Prittas. That was to be the final score.
The game seemed more like a championship match, than
a friendly in August. Eager fans, anxious sides and
a hard physical game caused an interruption by the referee
in the 42nd minute. The second half was much more calm,
with fewer tackles and chances for both sides.

Shikabala had his first home appearance, showing some
aspect of his rich football talent. He was a bit stressed,
though, and sometimes his dribbling wasn't 100% effective.
However, PAOK fans realised what this youngster can give in
the side and count him for a strong solution in the first
eleven...
Meanwhile, PAOK fans were happy with their new captain Zagorakis,
who led Greece in the successful European Championship. He
led PAOK against Iraklis too, performing wonderfully and controlling
the play.
Two more friendlies will take place for PAOK, and EgyptianPlayers.com
will cover them fully...
