Ergotelis lost to Amir's PAOK by a goal to nil.
PAOK Thessaloniki were prepared for a tough evening
in Crete, but as it was proven Ergotelis couldn't stop
their excellent recent form that has given the team
10 points in the last 4 league games since new manager,
Nickos Karageorgiou was hired.
Amir Azmy had a more defensive role this time, for
tactical reasons, but he handled well all the pressure
that a strong Ergotelis front-line (Ogunsoto, Addo,
Nazibuko and Voskarides) caused to PAOK's defence.

Amir in action
PAOK scored a few minutes after the start of the second
half, with the team's leader Dimitris Salpingides hitting
in a header in the 54th minute.
Ergotelis tried to answer but they were unlucky and
had problems deploying their system.
The final 0-1 score seems fair, finding the team of
Thessaloniki still in the 5th place, now chasing 4th
placed Skoda Xanthi.
Next Saturday PAOK play Chalkidona in the Toumba Stadium,
that will be empty due to a ban from the Football Association
(for the fans' behaviour at the game against Olympiakos).
