Adam El Abd
El-Abd's season saw him play more minutes
than any other Brighton player. The half-Egyptian played
39 league games and established himself well in League
One.
The Seagulls themselves finished 18th in England's
third flight.
"It was, from the team's point of view, a very
mixed season in terms of results," said El-Abd
to EgyptianPlayers.com on Saturday.
"We were a very young team with not a lot of experience.
So staying in the division was a success in itself,"
he added.
At a personal level, his season was beyond doubt more
of a success. "For me, I played pretty much every
game and from that aspect it was a successful season.
"I played across the pitch in a number of positions.

"But the manager spoke to me and told me that I'll be
playing in the midfield next season."
Adam, who has an Egyptian father and whose brother Sami represented
Egypt's youth team this year, wants to keeping moving up in
his career. "Obviously I've got ambitions to play at
the top level, in the Premiership.
"I'm only 22 and I've got over 100 games under my belt.
Hopefully that experience will help me in the future and I'm
always striving to improve myself."
EgyptianPlayers.com wish Adam the best for the new season
as he and his side try to move back into the Championship...
